YEREVAN. – I am full of hope that the Eastern Partnership (EaP) program will be successful. Vice-President of the European Parliament, Ryszard Czarnecki, who is also Vice Chairman of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, told this speaking to 168 Zham daily.

‘“We had problems with Azerbaijan and Belarus. We are not happy with Azerbaijan’s decision, but we already are seeing [positive] changes in Belarus. (…) I believe Baku will also change its decision in the future. 

‘“The European Union [(EU)], by putting foundations to sign a new agreement, was able to overcome the crisis that emerged with Armenia two years ago’ 

“He also noted that the EaP countries have no alternative, since they simply have no chance to have stronger positions in the world than cooperation with the EU,” wrote 168 Zham.
