YEREVAN. – Haykakan Zhamanak daily found out Wednesday that the president of the Football Federation of Armenia, Ruben Hayrapetyan, has left the country, reported the daily.

“It is noteworthy that Hayrapetyan has left from the RA [i.e. the Republic of Armenia] after being questioned yesterday [i.e. Wednesday] at the Investigative Committee, for the case into the beating of freedom fighter [i.e. Karabakh War veteran] Smbat Hakobyan.

“The RA Investigative Committee, in an interview yesterday with our correspondent, confirmed the information about Hayrapetyan being questioned as a witness.

“Our sources inform that Hayrapetyan had planned to leave the country in the second half of November for treatment, but he actually left yesterday, with his wife and father,” wrote Haykakan Zhamanak.
