YEREVAN. – US Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills delivered a quite extensive address at the Armenian American Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and presented the main directions of his activities, 168 Zham daily reported.

“Mills said the main directions of his activities will be to deepen Armenian-American trade and economic ties, [and] assist in the real fight against corruption, establishment of civil society, and strengthening of democratic institutions in Armenia.

“In reality, however, the American position of truly seeing Armenia as a developed and democratic country is not concealed, but expressed in Mills’ statements.  

“In more simple words, the US proposes Armenia its substantive help in the matter of becoming a normal country,” 168 Zham wrote.
