YEREVAN. – Haykakan Zhamanak daily has learned that the Armenian authorities plan to reduce the number of MPs by at least ten in the next National Assembly (NA), the daily reported.

“That is, the next convocation NA will have a maximum of 121 deputies instead of the current 131 [MPs].

“The decision to reduce the number of deputies by at least ten is discussed quite worriedly these days among the political, particularly the ruling circles.

“[And] the fate of many current deputies is extremely hazy even without this,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
