YEREVAN. – 2016 will be a very noteworthy political year for Armenia, Irates De Facto newspaper reported.

“According to well-informed sources, the officials, who ‘did not behave well’ during the [recent] referendum [on constitutional amendments], will be continued to be ‘punished;’ that is to say, some [of them] will bid farewell to their position.

“Our source considered the consolidation of political forces also possible. The [Armenian Revolutionary Federation] ARF [Dashnaktsutyun Party] will finally be given the coveted positions. Great surprises are to be expected in the backstage of the authorities, too.

“The intrigues will reach peak, since it is a pre-[parliamentary]election year.

“So some [Armenian] officials definitely will not forget God in [their New Year and Christmas] holiday wishes, asking him to hold their ‘seat’ firmly,” Irates De Facto wrote.
