YEREVAN. – Changes are expected in the near future not solely in the Government of the Republic of Armenia (RA), but also in its diplomatic corps, Hraparak daily reported.

“We have learned that the RA Ambassador to the [United] Arab Emirates, Gegham Gharibjanian, will move to Lebanon; [Armenia’s Ambassador to Kuwait] Fadey Charchoghlyan will be appointed Ambassador to the Emirates.

“The RA Ambassador of China, Armen Sargsyan, also will move to a new diplomatic job. It is said he will become Ambassador to Bulgaria.

“According to the same sources, the RA Ambassador to Russia, Oleg Yesayan, will replace Armen Khachatryan in Belarus. And they again give the names of [Deputy FM] Shavarsh Kocharyan and [Diaspora Minister] and Hranush Hakobyan regarding the [new] Ambassador to the RF [i.e. the Russian Federation].

“Incidentally, clouds have gathered also overhead the RA Ambassador to Ukraine, Andranik Manukyan. (…) To remind, Manukyan had appeared at the center of a corruption scandal. The Ukrainian press had exposed that he is using as the RA Ambassador’s residence the house of one of the fugitive close persons of [preceding Ukrainian President Viktor] Yanukovych,” Hraparak wrote.
