YEREVAN. – The will of American Armenian billionaire, National Hero of the Republic of Armenia (RA), the late Kirk Kerkorian, was recently opened in secrecy, Zhoghovurd daily reported.

“Zhoghovurd found out from American Armenian sources that he bequeathed that all his possessions are sold and the whole [respective] amount is channeled to charity.

“According to the will, the funding of all those projects, which were implemented when Kerkorian was alive, needs to be carried out with the money from the sale of [his] assets.

“That is to say, solely those organizations, which previously received assistance from Kerkorian’s foundations, can have expectations of profiting from the will.

“To remind, in the early 2000s, Kerkorian’s The Lincy Foundation carried out a 200-million[US]-dollar [worth of] road construction in Armenia. But Kerkorian was angered by the fact that a part of this amount was pocketed by the RA officials, and [therefore] he dissolved The Lincy Foundation refusing to give a cent to Armenia.

“And now, Armenia will be allocated exactly that much money, and maybe more, from Kerkorian’s worth of about 3 billion dollars,” Zhoghovurd wrote.
