YEREVAN. – They say High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini’s visit to the region has filled Russia’s exceedingly jealous heart with “fathomless longing,” especially with regard to Armenia, according to Irates De Facto newspaper.

“The Russian ‘Catholics more than the Pope” of Armenia and even himself, [Russian] Ambassador [Ivan] Volinkin, (…) are attentively waiting for the ‘Europe’ woman, to see, understand what she will say, and what the Armenian princes will respond to her, since she will be bringing ‘pancakes’ with her ahead of the parliamentary elections in 2017, whereas the parties will understand one another in silence, on the ‘whips.’

“Until now, the Armenian side has responded to the EU’s ‘love’ very diplomatically and moderately. [But] now, after the constitutional amendment [in Armenia], Russia is panicking that Armenians suddenly become self-confident,” Irates De Facto wrote.
