YEREVAN. – Chief of Armenian Police Alik Sargsyan has decided to wind up Traffic Police of Armenia, Zhamanak newspaper reports.

Traffic Police will be renamed Patrol Police of Armenia in September. The police chief has decided to completely reform the traffic police, following Georgia’s example.

According to changes, officers of traffic police will not be allowed to come into personal contact with drivers.
