Azg: American Armenian singer could represent Armenia in Eurovision 2012
October 05, 2011YEREVAN. – “Armenian singer Lucia Moon (Babayants), who lives in Los Angeles, is yet unknown in Armenia,” Azg daily writes. “Her roots come from Nagorno-Karabakh (Martakert Region), and she spent her childhood and teenage years in [Azerbaijani capital] Baku. Her father, a physician by profession, very quickly knew that, after the Armenian pogroms in Sumgait [Azerbaijan] in 1988, they would inevitably spread to Baku, and, leaving everything behind in few days, he came to Armenia with his family.
…Several years later he decided to go to Moscow, and in 1992 they moved to the United States, Los Angeles.
… Lucia Moon delightfully agreed to represent Armenia at Eurovision 2012 international [song] contest, which will be held in Baku. Lucia Moon will participate in Eurovision with a love song and she is preparing to perform it at preliminary round,” Azg writes.
