YEREVAN. – Turkey’s Minister of Social and Family Affairs, Fatma Sahin, stated it is impossible to issue passports and provide education to the children—who are born in Turkey—of Armenians from Armenia who are living in Turkey illegally, Hayots Ashkharh daily writes.  

The Turkish authorities are developing a program toward the registration and education of the children of Armenian emigrants, and corresponding mechanisms are already being implemented.   “Even though Turkey’s Education Ministry has allowed the Armenian children to attend Armenian schools in the current school year in the status of guests, this is not the solution to the problem, since approximately 1,000 children face the same problem,” the Turkish media reported.
