Aravot : Armenian musician will no longer support ARF Dashnaktsutyun
January 14, 2012YEREVAN. – Renowned Armenian musician Ruben Hakhverdyan supported the current parliamentary opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party during all National Assembly elections, and he even has songs dedicated to the Party, Aravot daily writes.
“[But] In an interview with Aravot, Mr. Hakhverdyan stated he is [now] rejecting ARF because: ‘At the time I saw [ARF Faction leader] Vahan Hovhannisyan as the most intellectual man. Unfortunately, I do not understand why Dashnaktsutyun took a ‘backward step.’ Now, I will not be alongside any political force; we need new brains,” Aravot writes.
