YEREVAN. – The Jews must support the Armenians to withstand Turkish nationalism, France’s Secular Jewish Center Director Nicolas Sommerstein stated, Hayots Ashkharh daily writes.  

“’We need to pay a special attention to the Armenians, who suffer from denialism. Virtually all Jews understand what this means, so we must fight against denialism,’ Sommerstein declared. According to the Jewish activist, those measures that are used against the denial of the Shoah [Jewish Holocaust] can be used in the case of the Armenian Genocide, too. For the sake of brotherhood and the suffering that the Armenians underwent in the years of the genocide, [and] the Armenian Genocide cannot be forgotten or denied,’ Sommerstein stressed. The Jewish community will continue to support the Armenians of France in the punishment of denialism,” Hayots Ashkharh writes.
