YEREVAN. – Armenian 168 Zham daily’s chief editor Satik Seyranyan intends to run for a parliamentary seat in the upcoming elections, Hraparak daily writes, referring to the information it has received. .   

“Earlier, her husband, [capital Yerevan’s] Arabkir [district] Prefect Hovhannes Shahinyan, had announced about his nomination, [but] this time he will support his wife. Seyranyan could be nominated as a representative of the [opposition] Free Democrats Party. In the election district [where she will run], [the ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia] RPA’s candidate is the supermarket chain owner Artak Sargsyan, whereas [the coalition’s Prosperous Armenia Party] PAP will support [United Labor Party] ULP Chairman, Gurgen Arsenyan,” Hraparak writes
