Zhoghovurd: Former Armenian MP to become Minister of Sport?
May 30, 2012YEREVAN. – The matter concerning former MP Victor Dallakyan is being discussed these days in the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Zhoghovurd daily writes, referring to its well-informed sources.
“The RPA members were hopeful that Dallakyan would be elected MP, but he was defeated. And since Dallakyan has become an RPA member, [President and RPA leader] Serzh Sargsyan is considering ‘granting’ him at least the position of Sport and Youth Affairs Minister.
We attempted to verify this news from Dallakyan, but the latter was very angry and he yelled not to call him anymore.
[So,] We spoke with RPA Spokesperson Eduard Sharmazanov.
‘We have not yet discussed any ministerial position matter,’ RPA Spokesperson said, and added that [solely] the parliamentarians’ issues will be examined in today’s [Wednesday] session of the RPA [Executive Body],” Zhoghovurd writes
