YEREVAN. – It seems Armenia’s former National Assembly (NA) Speaker Samvel Nikoyan is still in office. Such conclusion can be reached when visiting the official website of the country’s National Security Council (NSC), Zhoghovurd daily writes. 

“Here the NSC members’ list is headed by Samvel Nikoyan, across whose name is written National Assembly Speaker, in the case when Hovik Abrahamyan is NA chairman for already a week.

[According to the website] NA [Prosperous Armenia Party] PAP Faction Head [and PAP Chairman] Gagik Tsarukyan is an NSC member, still, even though the political force he leads has refused to partake in the ruling coalition long ago.  

Incidentally, this is not the first time that we come across such errors in the NSC website. Perhaps this situation is normal, if we consider [the fact] that there is carelessness in virtually all [state] departments in Armenia,” Zhoghovurd writes.
