Haykakan Zhamanak: Gagik Tsarukyan did not return to Yerevan with Olympic delegation
August 15, 2012YEREVAN.- The members of Armenia’s Olympic delegation arrived in Yerevan late on Tuesday evening, Haykakan Zhamanak daily writes.
“The athletes representing Armenia won one silver and two bronze medals at the Olympics. However, head of the delegation, president of Armenia’s Olympic Committee Gagik Tsarukyan did not return to Yerevan. In the past Olympic medalists were welcomed or accompanied by the president of Olympic Committee.
The medalists used to receive triumphal wreaths from the president of Armenia’s Olympic Committee. This time the ceremony was held by Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Khachik Asryan who was the only high ranking official present there,” the daily writes.
