YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia on Thursday will discuss the changes to be made in the Law on Tourism and Tourism Activities, Azg daily writes.

“Specifically, the hotels in Armenia are envisioned to be classified from one- to five-star and with five-star deluxe categories. The motels will be classified from one- to five-star; hotel-like places, health resorts will be classified from one to four star; recreation or specialized camps or homes, boarding houses, tourist settlements, camp settlements, [and] tourist homes will be classified with Roman numeral indicated third to first class categories.

As per the Government’s argument, the need for this change stems from the necessity to bring in the ‘Five-Star Deluxe’ category for classifying hotels in Armenia,” Azg writes.
