YEREVAN. – “I want to believe,” Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) MP Tigran Urikhanyan told Aravot.am reflecting on President Serzh Sargsyan’s view, which was expressed during his address delivered at the European People’s Party congress, that Armenia’s authorities are determined to hold free, fair and democratic presidential elections in February, Aravot daily reports.      

‘“Free and fair elections have no alternative, and Armenia’s future development and development destiny depend on this directly,’ the PAP MP said.   

[With respect to] The fact that the President also announced expectations for a “tangible financial support” from members of the European family, the PAP MP noted: ‘We solely need the will and the desire to carry out democratic reforms.’

To the question as to whether money is needed [to carry this out], he countered: ‘There are many places for raising money,’” Aravot writes.
