YEREVAN. – Physicist and presidential hopeful Mher Hayrapetyan has not yet paid the AMD 8 million (approx. $19,656) collateral to run in next February’s elections, and he submitted to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) solely his nomination documents, but without the collateral receipt, Aravot daily reports.

“So far, he left an AMD 1,000 [approx. $2.46] deposit to the Central Bank account and attached the receipt—for the paid AMD 1,000—to the documents he submitted to the Central Electoral Commission.

CEC Secretary Armen Smbatyan confirmed this information in an interview with Aravot.am. Also, he said Hayrapetyan and all other candidates still have time to complete the incomplete documents,” Aravot writes.
