YEREVAN. – In 2013, the “Office of Urban Development Projects” state-run institution of Armenia’s Urban Development Ministry returned to the state budget the savings, which amounted to around 720 million drams (approx. $ 17,666,890), that were left from the 2012 budget, Aravot daily reports.

“This perhaps is significant in the sense that, as a result of the fight against kickbacks that was announced by [President Serzh] Sargsyan, exact figures are emerging for the first time.

It can be assumed that, in the past, the sum of the kickbacks was reaching this much amount every year,” Aravot writes.
