YEREVAN. – Aravot.am asked Armenia’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Armen Movsisyan, whether he agrees with the view that the government is clumsy and that is why the price of the Russian natural gas being sold to Armenia is so high, Aravot daily reports.

“The minister responded: ‘Does this mean the governments of all other countries, except for Russia, are clumsy? I don’t think one can agree with these assessments because the cheapest gas is sold to Armenia in the region. Had the government been clumsy, it [i.e., the gas price] would not have been the cheapest; it would have been the most expensive.’

And when we recalled that the Armenian President had said the talks about raising the gas prices are lies, a rumor, the minister replied: ‘It has not increased yet; what they say about it is a lie, a rumor. When the prices rise, it will become clearer,”’ Aravot daily writes.
