YEREVAN. – The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) is thinking about gathering strength to carry out personnel “reforms” in fall. Before that, however, it is thinking about treatment and resting, Hraparak daily reports.

“According to our information, President [and RPA leader] Serzh Sargsyan was undergoing medical examinations these days, whereupon he was to go on a short vacation to continue his treatment, [and] to recover abroad.

This already was announced yesterday [i.e., Wednesday], albeit the official statement [solely] notes that the President is going on a short vacation.

[But] he will travel to Vienna, on June 20, to [attend] the EPP [European People’s Party] summit. His official visit to Poland, however, which is scheduled for June 21, is postponed until June 25,” Hraparak writes.
