YEREVAN. – During recent session of the Supreme Body of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), President and RPA leader Serzh Sargsyan reflected on the “battle” between the different wings within the party, and he spoke rather roughly with PM Tigran Sargsyan, Zhoghovurd daily reports.

“Sargsyan asked the PM what was the meaning in sending to the supervision inspectorate the inspections against the brother of [National Assembly (NA) Speaker] Hovik Abrahamyan.

‘Are you not ashamed of doing such things against each other?’ Sargsyan reproved.

To note, Finance Ministry’s [Financial] Control Department Director Sona Gharibyan had stated that even though NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan’s brother and nephew had purchased 70 percent of the diesel fuel that was given to Ararat Region on government subsidy, there was nothing criminal in this,” Zhoghovurd writes.
