YEREVAN. – In an interview with Aravot daily, Petr Mareš, Czech Foreign Affairs Ministry Special Envoy for Eastern Partnership, spoke about Armenia-European Union (EU) relations, the daily reports.

“With respect to the query on Armenia having to choose between the Eurasian Union and the [Armenia-EU] Association Agreement, the official specifically responded [as follows]:

‘I am convinced that this is not a problem for Armenia. But, of course, if Armenia signs the Association Agreement, it must choose which values it actually adheres to: the EU’s, or the Eurasian Union’s?

‘Of course, it is difficult to make a choice. But one thing I can definitely say: at this time the EU does not pressure Armenia to make any strategic decision,’” Aravot quotes.
