“Even though it [i.e., the monument] symbolizes the age of the adoption of Christianity in Armenia and it is assumed that it should have brought the blessing of God upon Armenia and the prosecutor’s native [city of] Aparan, it has caused the opposite effect.
“Passing through the iron crosses, which are welded to one another, the wind causes a terrible noise, screech.
“[And] since the cross is on a hill and there is always wind there, the ominous sounds spread over the large area.
“Consequently, no animal and birds are left in this territory since the cross was placed,” Hraparak writes.
