YEREVAN. – Next week, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan will present, for the National Assembly (NA) approval, his candidate for the office of the Prosecutor General, Zhoghovurd daily reports.

“As Zhoghovurd’s well-informed sources inform, Sargsyan ‘swung’ between the two main contenders: Deputy Police Chief Arthur Osikyan, and Prosecutor of Yerevan, Hrachya Badalyan. Furthermore, he met with both of them these days.

“Zhoghovurd’s sources were claiming that Sargsyan decided on the candidacy of Badalyan, who is backed by NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan,” Zhoghovurd writes.
