YEREVAN. – According to Teresa Daban Sanchez, International Monetary Fund (IMF) Resident Representative in Armenia, the economic growth in the country is slowing down and a double-digit economic growth should not be expected in a foreseeable future, since economic growth is falling to its normal rate of 4-5 percent per year, Zhoghovurd daily reports.

“As is well known, the government expects a 7-percent economic growth for this year. In the first half of the year, the IMF had forecast a 4.3-percent growth, but this September it reduced this growth, too, noting that in 2013, Armenia’s economy will grow by up to 4 percent,” Zhoghovurd writes.
