YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan has canceled his visit to Washington DC, Zhoghovurd daily reports.

“From [Wednesday,] October 9 to [Sunday, October] 13, he was to attend the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund annual summit in the US.

“On September 23, he had even adopted a special decision to send a delegation to the US capital city. On [Monday,] October 7, however, he canceled his previous decision.

“At the same time, the other members of the delegation likewise will not travel to Washington [DC].

“[But] it is not difficult to presume why Sargsyan took this step. On [Friday,] October 11, the Armenian PM had left for Moscow on an urgent visit, to meet with the PMs of the RF [i.e., the Russian Federation],” Zhoghovurd writes.
