YEREVAN. – In recent times Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan is heading to foreign trips with chartered flights which assume quite a lot of expenses from the state budget, Zhoghovurd daily reports.

“On September 29, he traveled to Saint Petersburg [, Russia,] on a chartered flight, to attend the session of the [Armenian-Russian] Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation; and yesterday [i.e., Thursday], [he headed to] to Brussels

“But what is interesting is that this time he traveled with the airplanes of the newly-launched Air Armenia airline company. With an amazing ‘coincidence,’ the PM also spoke about liberalizing Armenia’s air transportation sector.

“It is not difficult to assume that the PM is attempting to grab hold of the air transportation ‘sector’ [of Armenia], especially since the airport taxi service is his property, too,” Zhoghovurd writes.
