YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd asked Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) spokesperson Tigran Urikhanyan this question: “Can you recall what the PAP chairman’s most recent statement was?”

“The spokesperson responded: ‘A statement by each PAP representative is first agreed with [PAP leader and businessman] Gagik Tsarukyan. Gagik Tsarukyan is the axis around which our actions take place.’

“To note, the second largest political force in the parliament has not specified its political status—neither opposition nor pro-government—to this day. They are not able to complete even the reorganization process of the party.

“And Zhoghovurd learned that, now, the PAP is waiting for [Russian President Vladimir] Putin to come and go, and only then see what political stance it will adopt.

“All the while, Tsarukyan is busy with business issues forgetting that he made different promises to many of his teammates, which [i.e., the promises] he is not able to keep. Perhaps this is the reason why he has gone underground,” Zhoghovurd writes.
