YEREVAN. – Russian President Vladimir Putin, who paid a state visit to Armenia on Monday, left the country at 10pm, the sources of Hraparak daily report.

“The official dinner given in his honor did not last long, [and] it more reminded of a men’s club gathering; despite protocol, no one came with his wife.

“After the dinner [Armenian President] Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin talked for about an hour ‘without ties.’

“According to Russian sources, Armenia attempted to ‘scrape’ as much as possible from Russia throughout the entire day.

“Putin told among close circles that in three years the residents of Armenia will sense how their lives have changed, [and] that the [Russian-led] Customs Union and the ‘Russian line’ were the ‘right choice,’” Hraparak writes.
