YEREVAN. – According to the Hraparak daily’s sources, ex-FM, non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) MP, and The Civilitas Foundation Founder Vartan Oskanian may leave the PAP and create his own political party, the daily reports.  

“[He may found the party] on the basis of Civilitas and their mass media, [and] gather the advocates of European integration ‘under’ him.   

“According to some rumors, this is an appropriate solution likewise for the [Armenian] authorities, which are rushing toward the [Russian-led] Customs Union, in terms of ensuring the balance in the country. [This is the case] especially since another rabbit [i.e., bird, in the English version] would be killed: the PAP, which slowly hurries toward history, will become history without return.      

“As for Russia, according to our sources, it will not like this move, but it cannot do anything,” Hraparak writes.
