YEREVAN. – The foreign debt of Armenia is growing rather than diminishing, Zhoghovurd daily reports.

“According to official statistics, in the case when the Armenian national debt amounted to $4.3 billion as of January 1 of this year, that number reached $4.5 billion in November.

“The external debt also increased as compared with the beginning of the year, totaling $3.8 billion. Moreover, the government debt—$3.3 billion—makes up the lion’s share of the external debt,” Zhoghovurd writes.
