YEREVAN. – The party organizations of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) are presenting reports these days, and this will continue until March, Hraparak daily reports.

“Following the local organizations’ reports, the [RPA] Central Office will deliver a final report.

“The 151,000-strong RPA has a total of 22 regional organizations. Why do you need the reports? There are neither presidential nor parliamentary elections [ahead].

‘“So we may prepare for the local government elections.’ [President and RPA Chairman] Serzh Sargsyan attaches more importance to the local government elections than to the parliamentary, and he finds that it is solely by way of the local organizations that the geographical scope of the parliamentary elections can be covered, they informed from Serzh Sargsyan’s ‘office.’

“Moreover, the elections in Armenia will be ‘non-stop.’ Local government [elections] in 2016, parliamentary [elections] in 2017, [and] presidential [elections] in 2018,” Hraparak writes.
