YEREVAN. – The European Union (EU)-Armenia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee regular session, which was slated for Wednesday and Thursday in Strasbourg, France, basically flopped, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reports.

“In the 14-year activity of the committee, it failed to adopt a final declaration, as a result of the session, for the first time.

“According to the information we received from Strasburg, it [i.e., the session] was actually interrupted on [Wednesday,] February 5, since the European MPs of the committee started to leave the [sessions’] hall, and, ultimately, the session was interrupted due to their absence.

“The activities continued on [Thursday,] February 6, but an agreement was failed to be reached on the matter of the final statement,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
