YEREVAN. – A quite large number of Armenians, who travel to Russia for work, have remained “on” Georgia’s Kazbegi border with the Russian Federation (RF), Hraparak daily reports.

“The reason is the RF’s recently adopted new visa procedure which sets a ninety-day time limit for migrants and migrant workers; that is, after staying for three months, a foreign national must leave Russia, and he may return solely ninety days later.

“The Armenian migrant workers, who had come home to celebrate the New Year and who have reached the RF border, now have said that they can enter Russia [only] after April 26. They do not know what to do. Should they come back [to Armenia], when they do not even have the money to come back? Should they wait? But for how long and how?” Hraparak writes.
