YEREVAN. – In actual fact, Russia has declared war on Ukraine, 168 Zham daily reports.

“The international community is attempting to prevent the threat of war by diplomatic channels so far, including sanctions against Russia

“Although no specific sanction has yet been imposed, the Russian economy already has reacted to the processes that are taking place. The Russian ruble continued to depreciate; the shares of the largest Russian corporations have fallen, too; the players in the stock market are in panic; [and] these are the results of solely the first working day.

“It is not difficult to imagine what will happen with the economy of Russia if military operations begin in Crimea; each day of these operations will bring the collapse of the Russian economy closer.

“These events can have devastating consequences for Armenia, in political and economic terms, alike,” 168 Zham writes.
