YEREVAN. – There are six Armenians from among the 1,645 billionaires that make up this year’s billionaires’’ list of Forbes magazine, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reports. 

“The richest [Armenian] is Kirk Kerkorian, who is ranked 328th with $4.5 billion. His wealth increased by $1.2 billion in one year.  

“The 345th is Tashir Group proprietor Samvel Karapetyan with $4.3 billion, which is half a billion more than last year’s indicator.

“Rosgosstrakh [insurance company in Russia] co-owner Danil Khachaturov is ranked 663rd with $2.6 billion. His wealth grew by $200 million.

“The other Armenian is Eduardo Eurnekian with $1.9 billion. His wealth grew by $100 million in the past one year. 

“Proprietor brothers Sergey and Nikolai Sarkisov of RESO-Garantia insurance group [of Russia] are ranked 1,465th with a wealth of $1.1 billion, each. [But] the Sarkisov’s wealth reduced by $350 million, apiece, last year.

“Four of the six Armenian billionaires conduct business in Russia,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
