YEREVAN. – The Iranian tourists’ flow, to celebrate the Nowruz (Iranian New Year) in Armenia on Friday, has already begun, and it immediately impacted the foreign currency market of the country, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reported.

“The devaluation of the [Armenian] dram stopped, and transactions were not conducted at the [country’s] stock market yesterday [i.e., Wednesday].

“Such an effect by the foreign currency which the Iranians have brought [to Armenia] will make itself felt [in the country] in the next two to three weeks,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
