YEREVAN. – Armenia’s four non-ruling-coalition National Assembly factions need to collect 44 signatures to include on the NA sessions’ agenda the tabling of a motion of no confidence to the government, Zhamanak daily reported.

“And this burden is upon the PAP’s [Prosperous Armenia Party] shoulders.

“Will they succeed in this, given that PAP has numerous businessmen MPs who are associated with the Republican [Party; RPA] authorities and government?

“By and large, the RP members were not responding to the queries, but there were PAP deputies who were assuring that they will sign under the [respective] bill.

“PAP MP Mushegh Petoyan, who is not a huge businessman, is one of them. To our question as to whether he is not concerned that there may be some pressures on his business [should he sign under this proposal], he responded: ‘I lawfully pay all the taxes, the duties; I do nothing unlawful. I don’t know,’” Zhamanak wrote.
