YEREVAN. – Acting Finance Minister Davit Sargsyan stated that, in 2013, the Armenia State Depository of Precious Metals and Precious Stones was filled with 7.6 kilograms of gold items and 3.9 kilograms of silver items, Zhoghovurd daily reported.

“In his words, the state reserve also has metal silver, platinum, and a variety of other gems.

“This is, perhaps, one of those rare cases when the Government [of Armenia] has taken at least one positive step, especially ever since Armenia’s state gold reserves were sold when [now ex-PM] Tigran Sargsyan was the CB [Central Bank] chairman,” Zhoghovurd wrote.
