YEREVAN. – Five appointments remain to complete the Cabinet of Armenia’s new Prime Minister, Haykakan Zhamanak reported.

“The name of Ararat Regional Governor Aramayis Grigoryan is circulated for the office of Minister of Agriculture.

“[Ruling Republican Party of Armenia MP] Vardan Ayvazyan, [who is also] Chairman of the NA [National Assembly Standing] Committee on Economic Affairs, continues the battle for the position of Minister of Nature Protection [which he held in the past].

“The name of Yervand Zakharyan, Chairman of the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre, is circulated for the office of Minister of Energy [and Natural Resources]. But [Acting Minister] Armen Movsisyan continues the fight.

“[Acting Minister] Hrayr Tovmasyan still remains the most likely candidate for Minister of Justice.

“And Acting Sport [and Youth Affairs] Minister Yuri Vardanyan persistently fights to maintain his post, albeit the name of ARMNOC [National Olympic Committee of Armenia] Sports Department Head Gabriel Ghazaryan is circulated in this position,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
