YEREVAN. – According to reliable information Haykakan Zhamanak daily has ascertained, the Armenia representations of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank have accepted very harshly the merger of the Ministry of Finance and the State Revenue Committee, the daily reported.

“The representatives of these institutions are preparing to express their negative stance [about this] in a meeting with [PM] Hovik Abrahamyan.     

“The representatives of these institutions are concerned by the fact that, as a result of this merger, the counterbalances for the budget planning, collection and spending are removed, which drastically reduces the effectiveness of public administration,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
