YEREVAN. – According to the 2014 Index of Economic Freedom, Armenia has dropped three places and become 41st, Zhoghovurd daily reported.

“The most interesting thing is that Armenia was in 30th spot in the 2008 Index of Economic Freedom.  

“That is to say, during his six years in office [ex-PM] Tigran Sargsyan’s government secured a major step back in these domains, just as in the others.  

“Note that according to the Index of Economic Freedom, those [countries] that are ranked 41st are considered ‘repressive,’” Zhoghovurd wrote.
