YEREVAN. – The “Eurasian trio” (Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan) has already decided that once Armenia joins the Eurasian Economic Union (EaEU), the goods that are manufactured in Nagorno-Karabakh will be able to enter the EaEU market as goods that are produced in Armenia, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reported.

“Yulia Yakusheva, Executive Director of the “North-South” political [studies] center of Moscow, told this to us. She informed that the question raised by the President of Kazakhstan during the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting last week was purely technical in nature, and it does not represent any obstacle,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.

During the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting in Astana, Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev spoke about the letter by Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev calling to accept Armenia into the Eurasian Union only within the limits of the country’s internationally recognized borders, and not including Nagorno-Karabakh.
