YEREVAN. – In an interview with Haykakan Zhamanak daily, Areg Galstyan, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Armenia, again made optimistic statements concerning the resumption of the activities of capital city Yerevan’s Nairit chemical rubber plant, the daily reported.

“But he gave no precise information. ‘The talks continue,’ the deputy minister said.

“The whole problem is that Armenia holds the [respective] talks with the Russian Rosneft giant company ever since September of last year.

“Thereon, [and] in response to all the queries about the fate of Nairit, all our [Armenian] officials state that the talks continue, which already raises doubts about their successful completion,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
