YEREVAN. – It turned out that the 928 kg of heroin, which the Armenia police had confiscated on January 18, has not yet been destroyed, Chorrord Ishkhanutyun newspaper reported.

“But according to the data released by police, a total of only 850 kg of heroin was seized during the first five months of this year. No one knows where 78 kg of heroin has gone.

“It is clear that the heroin has not yet been destroyed. The Armenian authorities are not stupid to destroy $200 million [worth of heroin] with open eyes. But where has the 78 kilograms [of heroin] gone, whose market value is about $15 million?

“Corresponding [laboratory] tests certainly can be conducted and stated that 78 kg of the 928 kg had been powdered sugar. But in that case, they should also be able to explain why the unknown villains were smuggling in powdered sugar,” Chorrord Ishkhanutyun wrote.
