YEREVAN. – On June 27, Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia signed the European Union (EU) Association Agreement, Aravot daily reported.

“[As a result,] Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia joined the EU market of 500 million people. The EU import tariffs will be lowered in the future.

“As of June 27, Armenia has another [kind of] bordering neighboring. After June 27, both our [Armenian] society and the government should realize the truly strategic nature of Armenia-Georgia relations.

“The Armenia-Georgia border is now an Armenian-European border, and this border should not be allowed to become a Russian-Georgian border under any circumstance. No obstacle should be allowed in relations [between] Armenia and its European neighbor,” Aravot wrote.
