YEREVAN. – The recent meeting in Sochi, Russia, between the presidents of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan is a new harbor in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement, Zhamanak daily reported.

“The problem is to figure out what we are dealing with. It is possible that [Russian President Vladimir] Putin’s maximum [wish] is the designing of a new format, and the minimum is making a very successful trade with the West.

“It is apparent that if the [Karabakh] negotiation process begins to be accommodated within the framework of the sole dictation of one superpower, the likelihood of instability increases more, which is not in the interests of Armenia.

“Consequently, it is in Armenia’s interest to do everything to maintain the superiority and dominance of the [OSCE] Minsk Group format. And the other two [Minsk Group] co-chairing countries, the US and France, must show immediate and practical interests in this matter,” Zhamanak wrote.
